Moulmein Primary School at Jalan Rajah
This is a view of the main entrance to Moulmein Primary School at 51, Jalan Rajah in Toa Payoh. The school was formed in 1983, when Griffiths School merged with Balestier Girls' School. It was declared open by Mr. Lawrence Sia, People's Action Party Member of Parliament for Moulmein, in July 1984. In January 2002, it merged with Swiss Cottage Primary School (along Dunearn Road) to form Balestier Hill Primary School, and operated at 565, Balestier Road. The old premises at Jalan Rajah became home to the Global Indian International School and CHIJ Primary (Toa Payoh) (Nov 2002-Dec 2005). Past principals of Balestier Hill Primary School include Mrs. Irene Ho (Jan 2002-to date). Title devised by Library staff.
