Description
This is a full-length portrait of Mr. Ezekiel Saleh Manasseh standing beside his horse. Mr. Manasseh, a Jew, was one of the three owners of Goodwood Park Hotel between 1918 and 1945. He served as Vice-Chairman and later, Chairman of Singapore Turf Club in 1930s. Mr. Manasseh was interned in Changi Prison after the fall of Singapore in 1942. He died in the prison hospital at Sime Road. Title devised by Library staff.
