Description
This is the façade of the Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah (later Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Islamiah or Alsagoff Arab School) at 111 Jalan Sultan, one of the six full time madrasahs or Islamic religious schools in Singapore. It was built in 1912, posthumously by a rich Arab businessman, Mr. Syed Mohamed Ahmad Alsagoff (1836-1906), founder of the Syed Mohammed bin Ahmad Alsagoff Wakaff Fund and the Muslim Trust Fund Association (1904).
