This is a maritime map of the Strait of Bali, Indonesia. It covers from eastern Java, western half of Bali and the islands of Madura and Respondi (Sapudi). An inset on the left shows the Bay of Ballambouang. The text beneath the title lists the names of English and French ships that carried out hydrographic surveys between 1758 and 1766. These include: English ships the Winchelsea, Chesterfield, Royal George, Onslow, Triton, Sandwich, Osterley, Tavistock, and Hawke, and the French sips I'Elephant and le Chameau. -- Dealer's description.
