Asiæ nova descriptio

In 1604, Hondius acquired Mercator's plates and set about producing a new atlas. He engraved several new maps for it, of which the present is an example. For the depiction of the East Indies he drew heavily on Plancius's map of 1594. -- Dealer's description.
