There are two documents. The first 2 pages show the front and back view of a duty paid permit, issued on 22nd October 1926. The contents of the permit contains information such as the quantity and strength of liquor etc., on the 11 cases of tonic that was to be sent to the Medical Office. The back of the permit contains a stamp from the port authorities. The third and fourth page is the front and back view of an acknowledgement receipt issued by the Superintendent, on the same day, to the Medical Office for the payment of liquor tax amounting $110.88.
