This 1986 photograph shows Townshend Road (from Syed Alwi Road junction). It shows a view of shophouse buildings on either side of the road. In the background can be seen a high-rise church building with a cross a the top. Townshend Road is named after General Townshend, a war hero in World War I. Title devised by Library staff.
