This 2010 photograph shows a diorama depicting a story about friendship and loyalty. The story tells of two boys who went into the woods for a picnic. One of them spotted a bear and ran away, leaving his friend. The bear was fooled by the boy who was left behind, who pretended to be dead on the ground. The bear gave chase to the boy who ran off and killed him. In another version, the first boy who climbed up a tree saw the bear sniff at his friend who played dead. When it was safe to come down from the tree, the cowardly boy asked his friend, on the ground, what it was that the bear had done. The friend then replied sadly, "It has been said that it never does to trust a friend who betrays you in times of trouble." Title devised by Library staff.
