This 1991 photograph shows Napier Road, from the junction of Pierce Road towards Holland Road. It shows a view of a tree-lined street, with a bus stop on the left. Pierce Road is not found in the present day street directory. Napier Road was named after William Napier, first Law Agent in Singapore, who co-founded Singapore's second newspaper the Singapore Free Press and Mercantile Advertiser in 1835.
