This 1967 photograph shows an ornately carved pintu pagar (fence door) in Magenta Cottage. Magenta Cottage was one of four holiday villas built by Lee Cheng Yan, a prominent businessman of the Peranakan community, at the beginning of the 20th century. It is located on Killiney Road.
