Panglima Prang, corridor : general view

This 1971 photograph features a corridor in Panglima Prang. Panglima Prang was a 19th century Straits Chinese bungalow built by Tan Kim Seng and was situated at Jalan Kuala, off River Valley Road before it was demolished in 1982. Panglima Prang had an Anglo-Palladian mould fitted with tropical features, showcasing a combination of eastern and western architectural styles. The house also had Doric columns surrounded by a full-length verandah. Date of creation estimated. Title devised by Library staff.
