Workers moving "Red Lion" crates at Hiap Chuan Joo sawmill

Hiap Chuan Joo was one of the largest sawmill factories in Singapore. Located at Balestier it produced wooden crates used for beverages including Coca-Cola and Tiger Beer. Taken in the 1950s this photograph shows workers moving "Red Lion" crates at the sawmill factory. Title devised by Library staff.
