This 1983 photograph shows North Boat Quay (between Read Bridge and Canning Lane), from Boat Quay. There are shophouses along the bank of the Singapore River. A man is rowing his sampan on the river. The road along the quay, also called North Boat Quay, has been turned into a pedestrian mall with the restoration and redevelopment of Clarke Quay in the 1990s. Title devised by Library staff.
