This 1992 photograph depicts a four-storey building (dated 1953) at no. 11 Balestier Road (between Race Course Road and Tessensohn Road), which is occupied by Chop Chuan Seng Timber Merchant. Balestier Road is named after Joseph Balestier, the first American Consul in 1834. Title devised by Library staff.
