This is a photograph of an old car parked near the drain, outside a shophouse at Albert Street. Wooden planks are used to cover some parts of the drain which joined the road to the footpath. There are bananas and other fruits on sale near the entrance of the shop....

Inside a hawker centre at Trans Street is this traditional 'mama' store and newsstand which sells newspapers, magazines and tidbits. They are typically run by Indians.
