Chwee Kang Beo Temple, door : close-up [1]

This 2009 photograph shows a sculpture of a Chinese deity on one of the main doors of Chwee Kang Beo Temple (水江庙) or Temple by the River. It is believed that the Chinese deity would stop evil spirits from entering, thus the name "Guardians of the Temple" or "Door God" (门神). Title devised by Library staff.
