This photograph shows Dr. Wu Lien-teh, a Malayan-born Chinese doctor, well-known as the father of modern medicine in China and the physician who fought the Manchurian plague, standing in front of the Harbin Hospital, China. The building right behind Dr. Wu is the Plague Laboratory and Museum while his residence is further back on the left. The Porter's Lodge and gate are on the right. Title devised by Library staff.
