Cholera times, Harbin, 1919

There were hundreds of reported cases of cholera daily. Unlike pneumonic plague, greater emphasis was laid on the actual sufferer rather than the contact. This photograph shows a medical worker attending to a cholera patient on the ground. This was taken in the outdoors. Title devised by Library staff.
