Amoy Street shophouses : general view [2]

This 1966 photograph shows a row of shophouses on Amoy Street. Seen on the photo were laundry clothes being hanged on bamboo poles and a fleet of lorry along the shophouses. Amoy Street is named after a port in the Fujian Province, China. It is a Hokkien-dominated area that once catered to sailors and the sea trade. Title devised by Library staff.
