This 1972 photograph shows Emerald Hill Road, from Cairnhill Circle. A row of two-storey shophouses stand to the right of the photograph. Beyond the shophouses, several high-rise apartment blocks can be seen. Emerald Hill Road was originally owned by William Cuppage, a postal clerk who rose to become the acting Postmaster General in the 1840s. Title devised by Library staff. Date of creation estimated.
