This 1984 photograph shows shophouses at Joo Chiat Road, next to the east side of Joo Chiat Market (now Joo Chiat Complex). Joo Chiat Road is named after Chew Joo Chiat, a well-known Chinese landowner and coconut plantation owner. Title devised by Library staff.
