This 2010 photograph shows a centrepiece (G03) inspired by the French eco-table, The Man Who Planted Trees, a charming fictional tale of a shepherd who set out to reforest the ruined ecosystem of a desolate and abandoned valley in the foothills of the Alps, near Provence in France. Many Singaporeans were involved in the planting of The Man Who Planted Trees as it celebrates the International Year of Biodiversity 2010, paying tribute to all who contributed to nurture the Garden City of Singapore. This was seen at one of the Singapore Garden Festival 2010 show booths, (15 - 22 July 2010). Title given by designer.
