A 1982 photograph shows a single-storey house built in Malay architectural style at no. 33 Scotts Road (property of Tan Yeok Nee family, now acquired). The house is raised with crawl space underneath, and has a stone staircase leading to its main entrance. It has decorative pilasters, with French windows at the side and casement windows and ventilation ducts surrounding its front portion. Title devised by Library staff.
