City Hall : side view

This 2004 photograph shows a side view of City Hall, built in 1929. It shows the side view of the exterior with its Corinthian colonnade and a Singapore flag on the rooftop. Historically, it was the site of the Japanese surrender to Lord Mountbatten in 1945 during World War II, and declaration of Singapore's independence in 1965. City Hall was gazetted as a national monument on 14 February 1992. Title devised by Library staff.
