This photograph shows a close up view of several Henghua puppets. The puppets are male human figures, some of which have beards. The puppets are dressed in traditional Chinese costumes including headgears. The strings used to manipulate the puppet are visible in the photograph. Henghua puppets are string puppets manipulated by a puppeteer whilst in a standing position. Henghua puppet performances are usually held in temples or during special occasions.
