This 1992 photograph shows Jalan Samulun, from the bridge towards Shipyard Road. Located near Jurong Shipyard, Jalan Samulun traverses the Selat Samulun, which is no longer found in the present-day street directory. The name of Jalan Samulun came from sembulun, an Orang Laut "sea gypsy tribe". Title devised by Library staff.
