This 1982 photograph shows a side lane off the south side of Sims Avenue (between Geylang Lorong 25 and Geylang Lorong 27). Sims Avenue is named after prominent Chinese businessman Sim Kia Jan, managing director of Chin Huat Tin Ore Trading Company, and a member of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce.
