North Canal Road, towards Raffles Place : general view [1]

Reproduction Available:

This 1993 photograph shows North Canal Road (from Lorong Telok towards Raffles Place). It shows a view of a street with a shophouse building at the corner of two roads, with more shophouses further down the road. North Canal Road is named after the Singapore Canal which was built in the early days to drain the swamps. The canal was subsequently filled up to widen the roads. Title devised by Library staff.
