This photograph shows Dr. Wu Lien-teh, a Penang-born Chinese doctor, well-known as the father of modern medicine in China and the physician who fought the Manchurian plague, standing in front of the Harbin Hospital, China. The Plague Laboratory and Museum, Director's Residence, Porter's Lodge and gate from within have been labelled on the photograph. Title devised by Library staff.
