This 1981 photograph shows a view of Sungei Simpang from a beach at Tanjong Irau. A wooden house can be seen on the other side of the river. Tanjong Irau no longer exists on the map of present day Singapore. Today, the area is probably at the northern coast of Singapore, overlooking the Johor Strait. Title devised by Library staff.
