1950s - Factory lorry transporting crates

Hiap Chuan Joo was one of the largest sawmill factories in Singapore. Located at Balestier it produced wooden crates used for beverages including Coca-Cola and Tiger Beer. Taken in the 1950s this photograph shows a worker on a lorry half-loaded with crates. Title devised by Library staff.
