This 1968 photograph shows a bungalow, along Tanjong Katong Road. A row of decorative fretwork fascia can be seen underneath the eave of the roof. This house is most likely to be in the Early Bungalow (1860s) Style. Often these bungalows are one-storey high. These simple and yet elegant buildings have timber floors elevated on brick piers or timber posts to allow air circulation underneath. Title devised by Library staff.
