This 1982 photograph shows Neil Road, at Keong Saik Road corner towards Kreta Ayer Road. It shows a view of a street with shophouses and other commercial buildings along the road. Further along the road to the left, is a squatter settlement. Neil Road is named after Colonel Neil of the Madras Fusiliers, of the Indian Mutiny of 1857. Neil Road is in the Tanjong Pagar area.
