This is a 1982 photograph showing the side view of a row of three-storey shophouses found in Spottiswoode Park Road. Spottiswoode Park Road is located near the Tanjong Pagar area and is probably named after one of the partners of Spottiswoode & Co. They were William, Charles and Archibald Spottiswoode. Next to it but separated, is another similar building, housing another three units of shophouses. The façade of three units of shophouses, which are attached to each other, faces at an angle towards the left in the photograph. A van, a car and a motorcycle are parked in the front and at the side of the first building. Another car is also parked at the front of the second building. The shophouses feature three rows of French windows divided by secondary pilasters to create separate bays with rounded arches. Title devised by Library staff.
