A 1995 photograph showing the east side of Kay Poh Road, towards River Valley Road, and pictured is a stretch of road pavement alongside low compound walls of single-storey houses in the area. Kay Poh Road was named after Wee Kay Poh, who was once an apprentice in A.L. Johnston & Company. Later he started his own business and became a managing partner of a opium and liquor farm.
