Hiap Chuan Joo was one of the largest sawmill factories in Singapore. Located at Balestier it produced wooden crates used for beverages including Coca-Cola and Tiger Beer. Taken in the 1950s this photograph shows crates in the sawmill factory. Arranged neatly in high stacks they are ready to be transported. Title devised by Library staff.
