This 1984 photograph depicts a shophouse at no. 18 Veerasamy Road (southwest side). The two-storey shophouse features a covered, pillared balcony on the upper floor, with barred windows topped with transoms. On the lower floor is a covered porch, with windows and a doorway covered with bars and metal grilles respectively. In the foreground can be seen a metal fence, as well as a pair of metal gates flanked by stone posts. Title devised by Library staff.
