This 1992 photograph depicts Lorong 24A Geylang, towards Geylang Road junction. It shows a view of shophouses on both sides of the street with other commercial buildings further down the road. There are vehicles parked in parking lots along the roadsides in front of the shophouses. Geylang is believed to be a corruption of the term "kilang", Malay for factory, from the coconut and lemongrass processing factories of the area. Title devised by Library staff.
