This is a pre-1914 photograph from E. A. Brown's collection. It shows a team of turbaned Indian soldiers pulling a gun carriage through Chinatown. A row of shophouses can be seen in the background. Shophouse signboards (seen in the picture, from left to right) advertise a dentist, a Chinese medicine shop and a hair dressing salon. No date of creation provided. Title devised by Library staff.
