This is a 1982 photograph showing Clemenceau Avenue, from Clemenceau Bridge, towards River Valley Road. Some buildings can be seen by the side of the road. Clemenceau Avenue, previously known as Tank Road until 1919, was renamed in honour of Georges Clemenceau, Prime Minister of France, during his visit. Title devised by Library staff.
