This 1993 photograph shows Circular Road, from Lorong Telok junction (towards North Bridge Road). Rows of shophouses line one side of the road. Circular Road was named for its alignment, which follows the arc of the Singapore River. The Riverwalk and High Street Centre can be seen in the background of the photograph.
