This is a 1982 photograph of Mountbatten Road, from Arthur Road corner (westwards). It shows a view of a tree-lined street with single-storey houses on the right. Signs for roadworks can be seen on the right at the junction of the two roads. Mountbatten Road is named after Lord Louis Mountbatten (1900-1979), Supreme Allied Commander in Southeast Asia from 1943 to 1945. Title devised by Library staff.
