This 1983 photograph shows the exterior of a shophouse, located at no. 14 Jalan Pisang. The two-storey shophouse features a grilled doorway with a pair of swing doors and barred windows on the lower floor, and a French window flanked by casement windows on the upper floor. Shophouses found in this area are part of the Kampong Glam conservation area (since 7 July 1989). Pisang is the Malay term for banana. Title devised by Library staff.
