This 1968 photograph shows the bungalow, Botan House on Neil Road. Likely constructed in the Victorian Classicism tradition as evidenced partly by the fluted columns on the ground storey. Botan House was built by Tan Kim Tian, Peranakan founder of a local shipping company in the 1800s. Date of creation estimated. Title devised by Library staff.
