This photograph depicts the Merlion cub, at the Merlion Park near Clifford Pier. The smaller part-fish, part-lion icon is 2 m high and weighs three tonnes. In the background is the bigger Merlion which weighs 70 tonnes and is 8.6 m high. They are situated at the mouth of the Singapore River as a tourism symbol. Donated by Ang Tiong Cheng, and displayed at the Heritage Roadshow 2008. HRS3_022. Date of creation estimated. Title devised by Library staff.
