This photograph is part of NLB 1960s to 1970s photographs (Album 6) collection. It shows a view of the interior of South East Asia Room in National Library at Stamford Road. A row of reading tables placed against a wall with windows is seen on the left. Set up in 1964 it housed the Reference Department and Collection at the National Library at Stamford Road and was renamed to Singapore Resource Centre in 1998 at the then National Reference Library at Stamford Road. The facility was again renamed to Lee Kong Chian Reference Library at the new National Library Board building at Victoria Street in 2005. Title devised by Library staff.
