This 1993 photograph shows Pasir Panjang Road (from Jalan Pasir Ria towards City). Various commercial buildings can be seen on the left side of the road. Pasir Panjang means "long sand" in Malay, a reference to the long sandy beach that stretched along the coast in the area. Title devised by Library staff.
