This 2009 photograph shows the Redhill Market, located at 79 Redhill Lane, in a Housing and Development Board (HDB) housing estate. The arch structure bears the market's name in Chinese (红山市场) and English. High-rise HDB apartment blocks can be seen in the background, and in the foreground, two men chatting and having drinks. Originally built in 1969, the market underwent a Hawker Centres Upgrading Programme (HUP) and was reopened on 16 July 2005. Title devised by Library staff.
