This 1890s photograph shows a view of a canal, in Yokohama, Japan. There is a bridge, linking the two banks. Boats can be seen on the canal. Smoke can be seen rising out from a chimney of a house on the left bank of the canal. Though not taken in Singapore, this image has been added as it forms part of the Lee Kip Lin Collection.
