Shown in this 1995 photograph is a plot of vacant land surrounded by shady trees in the compound of a partially demolished house, at Punggol. The photographer's notes indicate that this is a house of Jerry de Souza. Located in the north-eastern part of Singapore, Punggol was once home to Kampong Punggol (a Malay village), one of the oldest settlements in early Singapore. Title devised by Library staff.
